Fans battle at French league sport in newest stadium violence

There was extra fan dysfunction within the French league as Marseille supporters ran onto the sphere and clashed with Angers counterparts on the remaining whistle.

It was the newest incident of soccer violence in France this season, after critical dysfunction on the Nice-Marseille match final month.
Last Saturday, followers threw ripped-up seats and tried to battle one another at halftime in the course of the northern derby between Lens and Lille.
Lens performed its house sport with out followers on Wednesday as punishment, shedding 1-0 to Strasbourg, and Marseille may now face sanctions from the league.
