England’s Sam Billings has hit out at South African Test crew skipper Dean Elgar for his unfavourable feedback on the Bazball method adopted beneath the brand new regime of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.

The new method by the English crew has taken the cricketing world by storm as England chased down huge totals of their current red-ball assignments towards India and New Zealand.

However, Elgar wasn’t a giant fan of Bazball and questioned the longevity of the method in Test matches. Recently, whereas speaking to the Observer, the Proteas skipper mentioned he had no real interest in speaking about that fashion and mentioned he wished to see how the method would work towards the South African pacers.

“I’ve got absolutely no interest in the style that they’ve played. I think it can go one of two ways for them and it can go south very quickly. [Talking about it] is a waste of energy. Their own coach doesn’t even like the slogan they’ve come up with. I’d like to see them do it against our seamers,” mentioned Elgar.

However, Billings had determined to take purpose at Elgar, whereas speaking to the Daily Mail, after the England Lions defeated South Africa by an innings and 56 runs. The English keeper went on to say that one needs to be silly to disregard the Bazball method.

He additionally went on to speak in regards to the efficiency of the Lions towards South Africa and mentioned that the crew laid out a reasonably sturdy assertion by way of exhibiting intent.

“We’ve beaten an international team over four days by an innings in a manner of scoring 5.74 an over. You’d be pretty stupid to ignore that, if I’m honest.”

“If that’s not a wake-up call. because we’re not even the best XI. So, it’s up to them, really, but I think that’s laid out a pretty strong statement in the way we want the cricket to be played, but also being able to execute it and having the players to do that was really impressive,” mentioned Billings.
