Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in 34th match of IPL 2020

Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten century helped Delhi Capitals defeat Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in the 34th match of IPL 2020. Dhawan remained unbeaten on 101 off 58 balls with the help of 14 fours and a six. In the last over, Akshar Patel hit Jadeja for three sixes to give Delhi a super win.

Axar Patel returned unbeaten after scoring 21 runs with the help of 3 sixes in 5 balls. Batting first, the Chennai team had a target of 180 runs to win in front of Delhi, which Delhi team won the match by losing 185 wickets with one ball remaining.

Duplessis made a brilliant half-century for Chennai, then Rayudu and Jadeja batted in the last over to take the team’s score to 179 for 3 in 20 overs.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan took the advantage of three lives and gave the Delhi Capitals a stunning five-wicket victory against Chennai Super Kings by playing the first century in the Indian Premier League. Dhawan scored 101 runs in a 58-ball unbeaten innings.

With this win, Delhi team reached the first position in the table with 14 points from nine matches. Chennai scored 179 runs for five wickets, in response to which Delhi scored 185 runs for five wickets with one ball remaining.

Delhi were to score 21 runs in the last two overs, but Sam Curren gave Sifz four runs in the 19th over and made the match exciting by taking the wicket of Alex Carey. As Dwayne Bravo was not in the field due to injury, the captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave the ball to Jadeja in the last over against whom Akshar Patel ensured Delhi’s victory by hitting three sixes. He scored an unbeaten 21 off five balls which helped Delhi register their first win in the current season chasing the target.
