David Lloyd retires from commentary a month after apologising to Azeem Rafiq over racism row

Former England cricketer and celebrated commentator David Lloyd retired from commentary duties with broadcaster Sky Sports on Tuesday, a month after he apologised to Azeem Rafiq and the Asian neighborhood over racism row at county membership Yorkshire. Lloyd was named in Rafiq’s testimony a couple of tradition of widespread racism within the county crew.

Sky Sports promised an investigation into the incident.Lloyd played 9 Tests and 8 ODIs for England between 1973 and 1980, and he coached the team from 1996 to 1999.
