By India Today Web Desk: Australia quick bowler Mitchell Starc confirmed that he’ll miss the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in opposition to India as he continues to get well from a finger damage.

The speedster had suffered the damage throughout the second Test in opposition to South Africa final yr and subsequently missed the third Test in opposition to the Proteas.

During the Australian Cricket Awards, when the host requested Starc for an damage replace, the 33-year-old cricketer mentioned: “I am track..still a couple of weeks and then probably meet the guys in Delhi..after..hopefully, a first Test match win..get myself into training over there.”

“The group is in nearly as good a place that we might be heading into an Indian tour. It’s thrilling with the ladies going for the World Cup and we have now a protracted tour of India.
