Best day of my life, says England’s Rehan Ahmed after making debut in opposition to Pakistan

By India Today Web Desk: Rehan Ahmed opened up on his England debut in opposition to Pakistan on Saturday and stated that it was one of the best day of his life.

The 18-year-old had a day to recollect as he picked up two wickets on his debut as he turned the youngest-ever Test debutant for England on Day 1 of the Third Test.

Ahmed claimed the wickets of Saud Shakeel and Faheem Ashraf as he bowled 22 overs on the day and gave away 89 runs. Speaking after the day’s play, as quoted by the Daily Mail, the teenager admitted that he did not anticipate to be part of the beginning eleven and had come on the tour to get higher as a participant.

Ahmed additionally stated that he had a sleepless night time on Friday and was nervous earlier than his first ball in Test cricket.

Pakistan have been all out for 304 runs and England ended the day on seven for one after Zak Crawley was dismissed.
