‘Baahubali’ Rafael Nadal: The Beginning or Conclusion?

Wimbledon’s official Facebook web page has shared an image of Rafael Nadal after his hard-fought five-set victory over Taylor Fritz with a one-word caption- ‘Baahubali’. It is a reference to the Baahubali sequence that turned the largest blockbuster in Indian cinema. The two-time Wimbledon champion beat Fritz 3-6, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (10-4) on Centre Court.

While taking part in the quarterfinals match on Wednesday night time, the 22-time Grand Slam champion had stomach ache and wanted a medical timeout within the second set. After the match, Nadal mentioned he would have “some more tests” on Thursday. He mentioned he’s been experiencing ache for nearly every week and that it intensified throughout the match.

When requested in his post-match information convention about his probabilities of taking part in Friday towards Kyrgios, Nadal responded: “I don’t know. Honestly, I can’t give you a clear answer.”
