By Priya Nagi: No.5 seed Aryna Sabalenka overcame a spirited Magda Linette of Poland on Thursday to storm into her maiden Australian Open ladies’s singles remaining.

Sabalenka secured a straight-set victory over Linette 7-6(1), 6-2 in her fourth match level after successful the tie-break within the first set at Rod Laver Arena. With the win, Sabalenka additionally reached her first-ever Grand Slam remaining. She will meet the 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina within the summit conflict on January 28.
