Nawaz and Rizwan put on 73 runs for the third wicket to put Pakistan in a position of command. Babar said that Pakistan promoted Nawaz to No.4 to counter India’s leg-spinning duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Yuzvendra Chahal.

“I believed they’d an edge after the best way they utilised the PP. But the bowlers got here again to limit them. I did not fireplace immediately however Nawaz and Rizwan’s partnership was excellent. I believed Nawaz may exceed as a result of they’d two leg-spinners working, so we spent them up. Our spinners and quick bowlers on the dying set the stage for us,” he added.

Nawaz additionally picked up the necessary wicket of Suryakumar Yadav and conceded 25 runs in 4 overs on a wonderful pitch to bat.
