Asia Cup 2022 Final: Supporters sporting Indian jersey denied entry to Dubai stadium, declare Bharat Army followers

A bit of India cricket staff followers claimed on Sunday, September 11 that they have been denied entry to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium forward of the Asia Cup 2022 ultimate between Sri Lanka and Pakistan for sporting “India jerseys”. In a video that’s being shared broadly on social media, an Indian fan alleged that supporters sporting the India Blue have been being despatched again.

The Dubai International Stadium was packed to the rafters for Sunday’s Asia Cup 2022 ultimate because it had presence of each Sri Lanka and Pakistan supporters.

Popular supporters group of Team India, ‘The Bharat Army’ shared the video of considered one of its members alleging that the “local officials and police” in Dubai denied entry to them to look at the finale between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

“If Indians had to go inside the stadium, we’re told to wear either Sri Lanka or Pakistan jerseys,” one other fan stated.

“That’s so stupid, why would me, being an Indian fan, wear a Pakistan or Sri Lanka jersey? It doesn’t make any sense.”

The Bharat Army urged the ICC and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to research the claims

“The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we urge you to investigate as our members travelled all they way from India to watch the #AsiaCup2022 and have been told they can’t enter the stadium by local officials and the police! Absolutely shocking treatment!” the fan group stated in a tweet.

India have been knocked out within the Super 4 stage after shedding to Pakistan and Sri Lanka of their first two Super 4 matches. India rode on a Virat Kohli century of their ultimate match towards Afghanistan but it surely was not sufficient to assist them make the ultimate.
