UP: Samajwadi celebration chief booked for assault, violating Covid-19 protocols

A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged towards Samajwadi celebration chief Shailendra Yadav after he was discovered dancing and partying in violation of Coronavirus pointers in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The incident befell on Wednesday (June 2) in Baijnathpur in Campierganj through the wedding ceremony ceremony of village head Balkishan Yadav’s daughter. Reportedly, the Samajwadi celebration chief reached the village together with his supporters to attend the occasion. As per eyewitnesses, he jumped on the stage and commenced dancing with the women on stage. When the villagers intervened, he and his supporters started thrashing the villagers. During the scuffle, chairs have been tossed between them.

While talking in regards to the matter, SSP (Gorakhpur) Dinesh Kumar confirmed that an FIR has been filed towards Yadav, and organisers of the occasion.
