PM Modi to launch large Kovid investigation center in Noida, Mumbai and Kolkata today

New Delhi: PM Modi will inaugurate large Covid-19 Testing Centers in Noida, Mumbai and Kolkata on Monday. With the help of these high capacity testing centers, the investigation of corona infection will be expedited. Timely examination will help in the treatment of patients.

Apart from Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also attend the inaugural program organized through video conferencing.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, these three centers have been strategically started in the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research . These include the National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research Noida, the National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health Mumbai and the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, Kolkata.

More than 10 thousand samples of Kovid-19 can be tested daily in these centers. In these laboratories, apart from Kovid, other diseases will also be investigated. Hepatitis B and C, HIV, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Cytomegalovirus, Chlamydia, Neisseria and Dengue will also be investigated after the epidemic is over.                                                                      

According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday, the total number of patients infected with Corona virus has increased to 13 lakh 85 thousand 522 with 48,661 new cases in the country. Out of this, there are 4 lakh 67 thousand 882 active cases and till now 8 lakh 85 thousand 577 patients have been completely cured. At the same time, a total of 32,063 people have died due to the epidemic in the country.
