Thousands of Sikhs were massacred in 1984, but the Congress governments acted instead of taking action against the accused. PM Modi formed the SIT to investigate the Sikh riots and took justice to the victims’ families as soon as he took power. It is a result of PM Modi’s action that Congress leaders like Sajjan Kumar, convicted for the murder of Sikhs, are behind bars today. The Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara has special significance for the Sikhs, as Gurunanak Dev ji spent the last time of his life in this gurudwara. But after the independence, due to the poor policy of the Congress government, this gurdwara went into the border of Pakistan. Crores of Sikh community settled in the country, not only in the world, have been demanding for decades to open the Kartarpur Corridor, which has been fulfilled by the Modi government.
