PM Modi’s virtual meeting on corona virus, discussion with CMs of 10 most affected states

New Delhi There is no possibility of corona virus cases coming down in the country. More than 50 thousand new cases of infection are coming out every day for the past several days. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding virtual meetings with the Chief Ministers of the 10 states most affected by Corona. Chief Ministers of the states are giving information about the condition of corona virus in their states.

Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh are present in this meeting. Besides the Chief Ministers, the Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries of the states have also attended the meeting. 

At the same time, in this meeting with PM Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Cabinet Secretary, Union Home Secretary, Union Health Secretary are also present. PM Modi is keeping a constant watch on the corona affected state. He has also spoken to the Chief Ministers of the states several times before this.

In the midst of all this, the number of people infected with corona in the country has increased to 22 lakh 68 thousand 676 and the number of dead to 45,257. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, 53,601 new cases were reported during the last twenty four hours and 871 people died. A total of 15 lakh 83 thousand 490 patients have been completely cured and active cases remain at 6 lakh 39 thousand 929. The rate of recovery of patients has increased to 69 percent.

In the midst of the Corona crisis, many states of the country are on the rise. On Monday, the PM held a virtual meeting with chief ministers and representatives of six states to review the flood situation in the country. It was attended by the Chief Ministers of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Kerala and the Home Minister of Karnataka. The meeting assessed the preparedness of the states to deal with the situation arising out of the southwest monsoon and floods.
