No intrusion on Indo-China border in 6 months, tried 47 times from Pak border: Modi government

Tension has been brewing between India and China over the last four months over the border dispute along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh. In the last few months, there has been a fierce confrontation between the forces of the two countries on the border, from air firing to violent skirmishes. Meanwhile, the Modi government has told in Parliament on Wednesday that there has been no intrusion on the Indo-China border in the last 6 months. 

In a reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai gave this information. Nityanand Rai told the Rajya Sabha that the government has taken several steps to prevent infiltration at the border. Many issues including border fencing, intelligence, operational coordination along the Line of Actual Control have prevented infiltration from Pakistan.

In a written reply to an unstarred question, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also given information on infiltration attempts along India’s border with Pakistan. According to this, the government has reported that there have been 47 infiltration attempts on the India-Pakistan border. 

According to the written reply issued by the government, there has not been a single infiltration attempt on the India-Pakistan border in February. There have been four attempts in March, 24 in April, 8 in May and 11 in July. However, no incidents have been reported in June. Please tell that today is the third day of the monsoon session of Parliament.
