Indian Railway: Now E-Pass will be available sitting at home, new facility for railway employees

New Delhi:A new facility has now been implemented for millions of employees working in the railways. Railway employees can now apply for their facility pass (E-pass) and facility ticket order (PTO) from anywhere online at home. According to the information received, Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav has issued an e-pass module for online pass generation and ticket booking while handing over the employees. This facility will be available to all the employees of the railway besides officers and lakhs of retired employees.

Center for Railway Information System prepared

Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav has launched the e-pass module, developed by the Center for Railway Information Systems. During this period, all other members including Finance Member of Railway Board, Managing Director of IRCTC, Managing Director of CRIS and Heads of all zones were also present. Railway official informed that the e-pass module of the railway has been developed by CRIS under the HRMS project.

With this facility, the railway employee will neither need to come to the office to apply for the pass nor wait for the pass to be issued. Railway employees will be able to apply online from anywhere and can also get e-pass online.

Reservation can also be done through IRCTC

According to the Railway Board, the entire process from e-pass application to release has been prepared on the updated application, so the pass holder employees or officers will be able to get online reservation from the IRCTC site besides the reservation window.
