Government orders inquiry into Kerala plane crash, first team reached Kozhikode at 2 am

So far 2 pilots and 20 people have been confirmed dead in the plane crash in Kerala on Friday. Under the Vande Bharat Mission of the Government of India, the aircraft left Dubai with 191 people. The Civil Aviation Ministry’s Investigation Department Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the accident. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that AAIB two teams were sent for Kozhikode investigation. The first team arrived at five in the morning and the second team at 5 o’clock. The rescue operation is over and the injured are being treated in different hospitals of the city.

The plane fell 35 feet down into the valley while landing and broke into two pieces. Hardeep Singh Puri said, “I am saddened and distressed by the extent of the plane in Kozhikode. The state police has reported 20 deaths. Relief teams of Air India and AAI were immediately dispatched from Delhi and Mumbai. All to help the passengers,” he said. Efforts are being made. AAIB is a division of the Indian Ministry of Aviation which investigates air accidents. The job of the Bureau is to assist in the investigation of independent aircraft accidents, obtain preliminary reports on the accident, and set up a committee of investigation and formal investigation in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations.
