National Digital Health Mission: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced NDHM i.e. National Digital Health Mission from Red Fort on 15 August. Now the government has also started drafting this law. Opinions have been sought from the people till September 3 on the proposed policy. According to the information so far , the government has introduced a draft policy to protect confidential health data collected from people under the National Digital Health Mission . The government has assured that every step will be taken to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive health information of the people. Under this scheme, a special identity card will be issued to every citizen of the country, in which his health details will be recorded. Read the big things about the National Digital Health Mission Draft

According to the document, the federal structure requires the development of a format that can be used throughout the NDHE to protect the privacy of confidential health data.

The Health Data Management Policy is the first step towards realizing the NDHM’s Safety and Privacy Design Guiding Principle to protect the data privacy of individuals.

It has various aspects of health data such as data privacy, consent management, data sharing and security.
