New Delhi: There will be a special committee meeting chaired by NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul regarding the Corona virus vaccine. The Health Ministry had informed this on Tuesday. The meeting will discuss all aspects related to the process, including the process of delivering the vaccine to the people in the country. This committee will discuss key points with the state governments and other stakeholders related to it, including vaccine manufacturers. Let me tell you that this meeting was being held after the announcement by Russia of making the vaccine. In such a situation, this meeting is said to be very important.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), at present, clinical trials of three vaccines are going on in different stages in India. These three vaccines are Bharat Biotech Vaccine, Zydus Cadila and Oxford Vaccine.

According to ICMR chief Dr. Balaram Bhargava, Bharat Biotech and Zydus Cadillaca Vaccine have completed Phase 1 trials and Phase 2 trials are about to begin soon. At the same time, the vaccine of Oxford remained the Serum Institute of India. It has got permission for Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials, which will start in 17 places in a week. Serum has talked about preparing 100 million corona vaccines for India and low and middle income countries. The company said that a single dose of its vaccine would cost three dollars (about 225 rupees). For this, he has tied up with the Gavi Vaccine Organization and the Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation. 

The condition of Corona in the country

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, during the last twenty-four hours, 60,963 new cases have been reported and 834 people have died. The total number of cases in the country has increased to 23 lakh 29 thousand 639. Out of these, 16 lakh 39 thousand 600 patients have been cured. At the same time there are 6 lakh 43 thousand 948 active cases. So far, 46,091 patients have died across the country due to the corona epidemic.
