Cheap house plans for the poor, PM housing scheme houses will be rented

Affordable rental housing complexes have been included in the list of infrastructure sub-sectors of the government. Its information has been given in a notification. This will help in providing cheap houses on rent to the urban migrants and the poor. In a gazette notification issued on 24th of last month, the revised list of infrastructure sub-sectors has been notified with the approval of the competent authority.

In this notification put on the Finance Ministry website on Friday, it has been said that affordable rent housing complexes have been included in the new main list of infrastructure sub-sectors. This new sector has been included in the ‘Social and Commercial Infrastructure’ category in the list. The Union Cabinet approved the affordable rent housing complex scheme for rent in July.

These people will get the benefit of the scheme

This scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) is part of the government’s self-sufficient India package of Rs 20.97 lakh crore. Urban poor and migrant laborers in cheap rent residential complexes will be able to lead a better life by taking houses at a cheaper rate. All types of basic facilities will be available in these premises. These houses can be given on rent for a long period.

More than 1.25 lakh flats in the scheme were taken

in the cabinet meeting held in July under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In which Union Urban Minister Prakash Javadekar while giving information about the decisions of the cabinet, said that the cabinet has approved the development of affordable rental housing complexes (AHRCs) for urban migrants / poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the self-reliance scheme, the biggest decision the government has taken is that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 1.25 lakh flats will be given to the migrant laborers on rent in 107 cities. Their fare will decide the local corporation.
