Attack on Seals: 3 personnel of Assam Rifles martyred, 4 in critical condition in militant attack in Manipur; IED blast and showered bullets

Three Assam Rifles personnel were killed in an attack by militants in Chandel district, 100 km from Manipur’s capital Imphal. The condition of 4 jawans is critical. It is being told that these militants belonged to the People’s Liberation Army, a local group.

Operation was being carried out against militant groups along the Indo-Myanmar border. During this time, the soldiers came under the grip of IED planted by the militants. After this, the militants sitting in ambush opened fire on the soldiers. After the attack, the army is conducting a search operation in search of militants. With this, the vigil has also been increased along the Indo-Myanmar border.

Last year too, soldiers were attacked in this area.

The militants also attacked the Assam Rifles camp near Chandel district in November 2019. Bombs were thrown at the camp. After this there was firing from both sides. The militants later escaped. No army personnel were killed in this attack.
