The US has said that there is a corona crisis in India. Apart from this, crime and terrorism have increased in the country, so American citizens should not travel to India. The US has also cited crime and extremism against women as some of the other reasons for its advisory. On the other hand, the Indian Tourism and Hospitality Association (FAITH) has urged the Indian government to pressurize the US government to change the travel advisory.

Faith said that the government should take it on priority so that the negative image being created about the country can be stopped. Faith said that at present, the tourism industry is going through a serious crisis due to the corona epidemic and soon this industry is going to resume itself in India. The travel advisory released on 23 August includes violence affected countries like Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, Iran and Iraq besides India.

This American advisory also warns that due to the Corona virus, the border can be closed and the airport can be closed. Travel may be banned. Lockdown may occur. The US State Department has specifically issued a warning not to go to the Jammu-Kashmir and India-Pakistan border. Faith said that putting Syria and Pakistan on the list is a very bad situation for India.
