Woman gangraped in Madhya Pradesh, 4 held

A 48-year-old lady was gangraped by 4 males and brutalised with a rod in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district, police stated. Four males have been arrested.
The incident occurred round 10 pm on Saturday, when the girl, a widow, was asleep in her tea joint, which she runs alongside a freeway.
In her assertion recorded by the police earlier than the Justice of the Peace, the girl was asleep in her hut when the 4 accused knocked and requested for water. After she refused, the 4 reportedly barged in.
Superintendent of Police for Sidhi district Pankaj Kumawat stated, “The woman in her statement also said that the accused inserted a rod inside her, which was confirmed by the doctor at the hospital where she is being treated.”
After the incident, the 4 accused absconded whereas the girl was rushed to a major healthcare centre, from the place she was referred to the district hospital. But as her situation continued to stay essential, she was additional transferred to a medical faculty hospital the place she underwent surgical procedure on Monday.
According to Inspector General of Police Umesh Jogi, who visited the girl on the hospital on Monday, her situation was steady.

“All four accused were arrested on Saturday night and are in our custody. Their ages vary from 55 to 22. They will be produced in court tomorrow and further investigation will be carried out,” stated Jogi.
The lady was given Rs 1 lakh as monetary help by the district administration.
