Woman chops off husband’s head in Tripura

AGARTALA: In a stunning incident, a 42-year-old lady reportedly beheaded her 50-year-old husband and hung the blood-soaked head in entrance of their household worshipping room, the police mentioned on Saturday.

The police have arrested the accused — Sabitri Tanti — who allegedly chopped off her husband Rabindra Tanti’s head by a ‘Dao’ (a sharp-edged weapon) when the sufferer was sleeping late on Friday evening at their dwelling in Ramchandra Ghat in Khowai district.

The couple has two minor kids.

The police are but to establish the reason for the brutal killing, however the neighbours mentioned the girl was affected by some psychological sickness for the previous few weeks.

A forensic crew has visited the spot and picked up proof of the crime.
