Vidarbha area stories over 5,000 new Covid instances

Covid-19 instances continued to surge in Vidarbha on Tuesday, with the area reporting 5,113 instances. The area had reported 4,361 new instances and 30 deaths on Monday.

Nagpur district remained the largest Covid hotspot, recording 4,471 new instances and 18 deaths. The district had reported 2,297 instances and 12 deaths on Monday.

Akola with 391 instances and three deaths, and Washim with 218 instances and no deaths, had been the opposite affected districts in Amravati division.
In Nagpur division, Wardha reported 254 instances and three deaths, and Chandrapur had 121 instances and two deaths. Other districts of Nagpur division — Gondia, Bhandara and Gadchiroli – reported fewer than 100 instances every.
