Uttarakhand: Seven individuals killed, 28 injured as bus carrying pilgrims from Gujarat falls into gorge

DEHRADUN: Seven pilgrims have been killed and 28 others injured when a bus continuing from Gangotri Dham to Uttarkashi fell right into a deep gorge on Sunday (August 20) night, police stated.

The bus carrying passengers from Gujarat fell right into a deep gorge close to Gangnani on Gangotri National Highway below the Patwari tehsil space of Uttarkashi district, stated District Disaster Management Officer Devendra Singh Patwal.

The pilgrims have been acknowledged to be from Bhavnagar in Gujarat.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) PRO Lalita Negi stated that the bus was continuing from Gangotri to Uttarkashi with 34 passengers when it misplaced management and fell right into a ditch whereas negotiating a flip. 

The injured have been admitted to a hospital for therapy. At the identical time, seven our bodies have been recovered.
