Uttarakhand: Markets in Purola stay closed in protest towards issuance of prohibitory orders

Uttarkashi (U’khand), Jun 15 (PTI) Markets in Uttarakhand’s Purola and neighbouring cities remained closed on Thursday in protest towards the imposition of part 144 of the CrPC by the district administration to forestall a “mahapanchayat” that was scheduled to be held there in the course of the day over alleged incidents of “love jihad”.
