UP girl arrested for killing father-in-law over property dispute

HOSHIARPUR: A lady was arrested for allegedly killing her father-in-law over a property dispute right here, police stated on Friday.

The accused, Suman Kumari, was the prime suspect within the homicide of Vidhi Chand (82).

She was produced earlier than a court docket on Friday and despatched to three-day police remand, they stated.

On December 24 night time, two unidentified masked individuals attacked the aged with sharp and blunt weapons at his home, SHO Mukerian Inspector Balwinder Singh stated.

He was admitted to Civil Hospital, Mukerian from the place he was referred to a hospital in Ludhiana and thereafter to PGIMER, Chandigarh the place succumbed on Tuesday, the SHO stated.

During the investigation, Suman Kumari and her son Vishva Minhas emerged because the prime suspects following which Kumari was arrested, he stated.

Singh stated the duo, together with their two unidentified accomplices, murdered Chand over a land dispute.

Raids had been being carried out to nab Minhas and his two accomplices, Singh stated.
