NEW DELHI: An unruly Italian girl, 45-year-old Paola Perruccio, needed to be strapped to her seat until a Vistara plane landed at Mumbai’s Sahar airport. She was arrested by the Sahar police put up touchdown and was later launched on bail.
The incident occurred on Monday on Vistara’s Abu Dhabi-Mumbai (UK 256) flight when the girl started to create a ruckus insisting on sitting in Business class although she had an economic system ticket. She assaulted the cabin crew when she was stopped after which she eliminated a few of her garments and commenced to stroll within the aisle partially bare.
She can be alleged to have punched a crew member and spat at one other on the face when she was prevented from sitting within the Business class, following which she started to strip.
“It was when she became unmanageable that a restraining device was used to strap her on her seat till the aircraft landed in Mumbai.”
After touchdown, the girl was handed over to Vistara’s safety officers who then handed her over to Mumbai police.
“The accused has been booked for assault, different acts of interference towards a crew member and endangering the protection or jeopardising good order and self-discipline beneath the Aircraft Rules, 1937, together with assault and rash and negligent behaviour beneath related sections of the Indian Penal Code.”
She was produced earlier than the courtroom and granted bail later within the day.
