NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Thursday requested college students to not take admission in Bible Open University of India in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, describing it as a ‘self-styled institution’, which can jeopardise the profession of the scholars. Kavita (300)

The UGC mentioned Bible Open University of India is neither enlisted beneath Section 2(f) or Section 3 within the checklist of Universities nor empowered to award any diploma as per Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
