Twin challenges: 3,276 cops contaminated by Covid-19, 60 personnel killed in terror assaults in J-Okay

Fighting bravely on twin fronts of terrorism and coronavirus, 60 safety personnel had been killed in terror assaults in Jammu and Kashmir, whereas 3,276 policemen had been contaminated by COVID-19 this 12 months.
A complete of 16 Jammu and Kashmir policemen and 44 safety forces personnel had been killed in terror assaults this 12 months, officers stated.
“As many as 3,276 police personnel tested positive for coronavirus while fighting the disease as front-line workers. Fifteen personnel died due to the disease,” a senior police officer instructed PTI.
He stated hundreds of police personnel within the Union territory stood agency through the pandemic.
“Front-line warriors assisted in combating the virus and implementing advisories issued from time to time by the government,” the officer stated.
According to officers, as many as 1,329 police personnel examined constructive for COVID-19 in Kashmir zone, and 6 of them died as a result of illness.

In Jammu zone, 1,947 police personnel examined constructive for the extremely infectious illness, and 9 policemen misplaced their lives after being contaminated.
Many police personnel in Jammu and Kashmir voluntarily donated plasma, they stated.
The J-Okay police personnel together with NGOs and volunteers distributed medicines, ration, cooked meals, hand sanitizers, masks and different required gadgets to the needy.
Fabricated sanitization tunnels, no-touch hand wash stands, remote-controlled trolleys, face shields, face masks and PPE kits had been made via police workshops and welfare centres to cope with the COVID-19 scenario successfully, they added.
