Three Uttarakhand BBA college students strip hostel inmate, flee

DEHRADUN:  Three college students of a administration course run by a college in Uttarakhand allegedly pressured a hostel inmate to drink alcohol and strip. They additionally reportedly filmed and blackmailed the scholar demanding Rs 60,000 to settle the ‘case,’ the police stated on Wednesday, including the suspects have fled.

The police stated it was not clear why the three assaulted the sufferer. Circle Officer Premnagar Pradeep Bisht citing the sufferer’s grievance stated whereas he was finding out in his room on Sunday evening (November 27), the three suspects got here to his room and compelled him to drink alcohol with them. “The victim identified the three as Akarsh Gupta, Samsonjay Antony and Jeremy Malik,” he stated.

“Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against Akarsh Gupta (BBA first year), Jeremy Malik (BBA 2nd year), and Samanjoy Antony (BBA 2nd year),” stated the officer. “Indiscipline will not be tolerated on the college campus,” UPES Registrar Manish Madan advised this newspaper. “We have taken strong note of the matter and are dealing with it in a very strict manner,” stated Madan.

The police stated the sufferer was presently very scared. “He has only talked about assault and blackmailing. Information is being collected on whether he previously had an argument with the accused,” stated Bisht.
