Three killed in hearth after blast at cracker manufacturing unit in Maharashtra

MUMBAI: At least three individuals had been killed and as many others injured in a serious hearth that broke out after a blast at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Maharashtra’s Solapur district on Sunday, police stated.

The blaze erupted on the unit positioned at Shirala in Barshi taluka round 3 pm, an official stated.

“There was a blast inside the firecracker manufacturing unit, which led to the fire,” he stated.

“After being alerted, the fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation,” he stated.

Barshi is positioned round 400 km from Mumbai.
