Theft at district courtroom superior in Rajouri, ASI amongst 5 cops suspended

JAMMU: Some seized articles and case property had been stolen from the district courtroom superior in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, prompting the authorities to droop 5 police personnel along with an officer, and detain some suspects.

Officials said some thieves broke the locks of the ‘Malkhana’ of the district courtroom superior in Rajouri last evening time and decamped with the devices.

They said an FIR has been registered throughout the case and investigation started.

Police have analysed the crime scene with the assistance of a forensic workers, and are moreover analysing technical proof, they said, together with some suspects have been rounded-up for questioning.

Rajouri Senior Superintendent of Police Amritpal Singh suspended ASI Tariq Mehmood, SgCt Mohd Shafiq, and Special Police Officers Ghulam Nabi, Mohd Munshi and Murtaza Khan for dereliction of duties.

An inquiry has moreover been initiated, they added, together with a breakthrough is predicted in a short time.

The inquiry will be carried out by Rajouri deputy superintendent of police.
