Teenage woman in Dhanbad pushed to demise from house rooftop by 4 youths

DHANBAD: A 16-year-old woman was pushed to demise from the rooftop of a four-storey house allegedly by 4 youths in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district, police mentioned on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Bhelatand space in Barwadda police station space, some 170-km from state capital Ranchi, between 5.30 pm and 6 pm on Wednesday, police mentioned.
The mom of the sufferer has filed an FIR towards 4 suspected youths together with two named accused dwelling in the identical house, police mentioned.
“On the basis of the FIR, two youths have been detained for interrogation on Wednesday night,” mentioned Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Kumar Pandey, who’s supervising the case.
The woman was a scholar of class-12 at a Dhanbad-based convent faculty.
The mom of the sufferer instructed the police that one boy of the house, who was senior to her daughter, was usually seen speaking to her.
“I had scolded my daughter and warned her not to interact with him. On Wednesday evening, the boy was seen along with one of his friends on first floor of the apartment,” the sufferer’s mom instructed police.
The sufferer’s household lives on first ground of the house however the woman was pushed from the rooftop of the four-storey house, police mentioned.
“A chair was also found on the rooftop. Who brought the chair there and how many people were present on the rooftop is being investigated. Finger prints are also being collected from different spots including the lift of the apartment through which the girl had gone to rooftop,” the DSP mentioned.
District Child Welfare Committee chairman Uttam Mukherjee mentioned that the committee has taken cognizance of the incident and can remark after spot inspection.
