Swiggy supply boys break into Noida homes, steal valuables

The Noida Police on Tuesday mentioned they’ve arrested two Swiggy supply executives who allegedly broke into homes within the metropolis and decamped with valuables. Swiggy, the web meals ordering and supply platform, mentioned it has suspended the 2 supply companions who had been engaged on contract foundation.
 Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Noida, Ranvijay Singh mentioned accused Mohammad Kafeel and Ravi Shankar had been arrested by the Sector 39 police station group probing a home theft case. “Two Swiggy delivery partners have been arrested. During investigation it was found that the duo would break into houses and steal valuables,” Singh mentioned.
“They would go for delivery at houses around Golf Course area, their assigned territory, and take stock of homes and buildings which were empty or vulnerable. They would target such houses for valuables during nights,” he mentioned.

The two accused hail from the adjoining Bulandshahr district in western Uttar Pradesh and had been staying in Sector 126 in Noida, he mentioned.
An FIR has been lodged within the case on the native Sector 39 police station underneath Indian Penal Code sections 380 (theft in dwelling home), 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property), 414 (aiding in concealing stolen property), 454 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking with a purpose to commit offence punishable with imprisonment.)
Swiggy strongly condemned the act of its supply companions and suspended them with quick impact. “We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any such behavior and will be extending our full support to the investigating authorities,” it informed PTI in an announcement.
According to the police, a 32-inch LED tv, two monitor fits, one wrist watch, a Swiggy bag and a few instruments used to interrupt into homes had been seized from their possession, whereas a bike, which Ravi Shankar had bought from his share of the cash stolen by the duo, was impounded. A 3rd one who procured stolen gadgets from them has been recognized and efforts had been on to arrest him, the police added.
