Surrendered Naxalite killed in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

BIJAPUR: Naxalites allegedly murdered a former colleague, who had surrendered earlier than the police three months in the past, in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, a senior official stated on Sunday.

Baman Poyam, who was in his 40s, was discovered useless on a highway close to Pondum village below Bhairamgarh police station limits this morning, the official stated.

Poyam, who was a Maoist janmilitia member, had surrendered earlier than the police in Bijapur on May 30 and had since been staying within the Police Lines space, he stated.
