Sri Lanka, India focus on frequent maritime challenges in Indian Ocean

COLOMBO: The navies of India and Sri Lanka have mentioned methods to strengthen bilateral cooperation and actions to beat frequent maritime challenges confronted by the navies and coast guard personnel of the 2 nations within the Indian Ocean.

The Sri Lankan delegation on the IMBL assembly was led by Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Aruna Tennakoon, whereas the Indian delegation was headed by Flag Officer Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area, Rear Admiral S Venkat Raman, the discharge stated.

Defence Adviser to the High Commission of India in Colombo, Captain Vikas Sood was additionally current on the assembly.
