Retired SI of Jharkhand police amongst two arrested in Bihar for anti-India actions

PATNA: Bihar police made a big breakthrough after they arrested a retired police officer of Jharkhand and a former member of proscribed SIMI from the state capital on Wednesday for his or her alleged involvement in anti-national actions.

The arrested individuals—Md. Jallauddin and Athar Parvez—had been arrested from a rented lodging at Nayatola beneath Phulwarisharif police station in Patna. Md. Jallauddin is a retired sub-inspector of the Jharkhand police when Parvez is acknowledged to be a former member of the Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

Confirming their arrest, extra SP (Phulwarisharif) Manish Kumar stated the police carried out a raid at a home the place each the accused had been imparting coaching to youths from totally different states, together with West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh beneath the garb of martial arts.

“We have submitted a formal proposal to the central agency,” Manish revealed.

Initial investigation revealed that Athar Parvez acknowledged to be an lively member of PFI and SDPI, used to boost funds for carrying the anti-national actions. Parvez’s brother was arrested in reference to a bomb blast case in Patna following the ban imposed on SIMI in 2001-02.
