Relief for pupil with incapacity as SC directs IIT-B to provide her masters diploma in design

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court in a latest order has directed the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay to provide a masters diploma in design to a pupil with a studying incapacity.

“The appropriate steps including handing over of the degree and all other testimonials to the appellant shall be completed within four weeks from today,” the May 11 order stated.

The high court docket in its energy underneath Article 142 of the Constitution of India declared {that a} pupil affected by ‘learning disabilities’ generally known as “dyscalculia” efficiently accomplished the masters course in design and that the qualification shall maintain good for all sensible functions.
