Punjab authorities will increase petrol and diesel charges, second hike in 4 months

CHANDIGARH: The AAP-led Punjab Government has elevated petrol worth by 92 paise per litre and diesel worth by 88 paise for retail shoppers, as a part of their further useful resource mobilization drive.

Due to diesel hike, the trade, transporters, farmers and merchants shall be affected.’’

“ Last 12 months in November a case was registered in Dera Bassi by which 12,000 KL of diesel was caught being smuggled from Himachal Pradesh to Punjab.
