Prostitution racket busted in Goa: TV actor amongst three rescued, one arrested

PANAJI: The Goa Crime Branch on Friday mentioned it has arrested a Hyderabad-based man and rescued three ladies, together with a tv actress, after busting a prostitution racket at Sangolda village close to Panaji.

The arrested man has been recognized as Hafiz Syed Bilal, said a Press launch issued by the Crime Branch.

Acting on a tipoff, the officers of the crime department laid a entice to arrest Bilal after they acquired details about the prostitution racket.

After verifying the main points, the officers requested Bilal to ship three ladies to a resort for a deal of Rs 50,000. Later the police arrested him when he arrived on March 17 together with the three ladies.

During interrogation, Bilal confessed to the crime of operating the prostitution racket and supplying ladies to clients in posh motels of Panaji.

The three ladies are from Hyderabad, Jharkhand and Thane district’s Virar and they’re aged between 30 to 37 years.

The Crime Branch has registered a case underneath sections 370 (3) (Trafficking of individuals), 370 (A) (2) (Trafficking of individuals utilizing drive or some other of coercion) and Section 4 (Earnings via prostitution), 5 (procures or induces any individual for the aim of prostitution) and seven of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
