Prohibitory order clamped in Khunti after conflict between two teams

KHUNTI: Prohibitory order below part 144 CrPC has been promulgated in Khunti district after a conflict between two teams over taking out a spiritual procession, an official stated on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan informed PTI that prohibitory orders have been imposed in Khunti on Wednesday in view of prevailing scenario.

The DC, nevertheless, claimed that the scenario is now peaceable and effectively below management following dialogue with members of each teams.

Members of a selected neighborhood pelted stones on a spiritual procession at Azad highway of the city on Tuesday night time.

Following the incident, members of the opposite group demanded the arrest of the culprits concerned in stone pelting.
