PRAYAGRAJ: The Uttar Pradesh authorities on Thursday instructed the Allahabad High Court that the home demolished in Prayagraj following the June 10 violence had the nameplate of principal accused Javed Mohammad on its gate.

In its counter-affidavit towards the petition filed by the spouse and daughter of Javed Mohammad difficult the demolition of their home, the state authorities raised preliminary objection to maintainability of the writ petition.

The petitioners haven’t challenged the May 25 order for the anti-encroachment motion and it has not been introduced on document.

Therefore, the writ petition deserves to be dismissed, the state authorities mentioned.

Justice Anjani Kumar Mishra and Justice Syed Waiz Mian gave per week’s time to the petitioners – Javed Mohammad’s spouse Parveen Fatima and daughter Summaiya Fatima — to file rejoinder and glued July 7 as the following date of listening to within the matter.

The counter-affidavit said that the gate of the home which was demolished had a plaque bearing the title of Javed Mohammad and the workplace of the Welfare Party of India was being run from there, despite the fact that the property was in a residential space.
