PM Modi to lay foundation stone of new Parliament building on December 10, will perform Bhoomipujan

Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the new Parliament on 10 December. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla gave this information. According to the information, PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of the new Parliament House in New Delhi on December 10 and will perform Bhoomi Pujan. Significantly, the Lok Sabha Speaker met the Prime Minister on Saturday afternoon, after which the dates of the foundation stone were informed.

The contract to build the new Parliament has been awarded to Tata Projects Limited, which will build a new Parliament building at a cost of about Rs 861.90 crore. This building will be built close to the existing Parliament House. It is expected to be completed in about 21 months. In the new building, even if the joint session is going on, there will be enough space for 1,350 MPs to sit.It is being told that according to the proposed plan many changes can be made. This includes changes in South Block and North as well. Just as the Prime Minister’s residence and office can be shifted near South Block, the Vice President’s new house will move near North Block. Changes in these blocks can change the map of the entire Rajpath.
