Prime Minister Narendra Modi jumped into the Delhi election campaign with a rally in Karkardooma in East Delhi. While addressing the crowd, the prime minister promised that when BJP comes to power it will work for the unauthorised colonies’ development and provide housing for all by 2022.

Referring to the government’s decision to give ownerships to the residents of Delhi’s 40 lakh unauthorised colonies, PM Modi said that ‘people who never thought that they will ever be able to get their home registry done in their lives, are now seeing their dreams come true’.

However, he alleged, Delhi government was not Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the national capital. “Till this government is in power in Delhi, they will continue to put obstacles in welfare work. They don’t know anything except playing politics,” PM Modi told the public at the rally.
