‘Physical, mental torture’: Ragging concern hits Indore medical faculty

BHOPAL: The police in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore registered a case on Sunday below IPC sections coping with obscene acts and legal intimidation, apart from provisions below the Anti-Ragging Act 2009, in opposition to senior MBBS college students of MGM Medical College on a criticism by the school administration.

Fearing reprisal by seniors, the juniors had made an nameless criticism to UGC’s Anti Ragging Helpline. The criticism was accompanied by audio-visual proof, together with WhatsApp chats. According to the criticism, the junior college students had been confined to a flat, and their cellphones had been snatched from them.
