The variety of calls associated to theft, snatching and motorized vehicle theft obtained by the Delhi Police Control Room has declined by practically 30 per cent within the first fortnight of 2021 as in comparison with the corresponding interval final yr, a senior officer stated on Monday. It is a pointy decline of 29.72 per cent from the corresponding interval final yr, Delhi Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Eish Singhal stated.
Individually, instances of theft have gone down by 13.42 per cent through the interval, snatching by 41.70 per cent and motorized vehicle theft by 24.78 per cent.

Between January 1 and 15 in 2020, the Delhi Police obtained a complete of 4,170 calls associated to theft (604), snatching (1,621) and motorized vehicle theft (1,945).
Officials stated that because the starting of 2021, the pressure is making efforts, beneath shut supervision of Delhi Police Commissioner S N Shrivastava, to curb avenue crimes resembling theft, snatching and motorized vehicle theft.
