Pasang Dawa summits Mt. Everest for doc twenty seventh time, ties with Kami Sherpa

KATHMANDU: Pasang Dawa Sherpa on Monday scaled Mt. Everest for the twenty seventh time, equalising a world doc for the perfect number of ascents set earlier by Kami Rita Sherpa.

The 46-year-old mountaineer stood atop Mt. Everest for the twenty seventh time at 8.25 am instantly, Dawa Gyaljen Sherpa, the Executive Director of Imagine Nepal Treks which organised the expedition, instructed PTI.

Pasang has flip into the second explicit individual on the planet to climb the 8,848.86 metres-high peak 27 events, he talked about.

The mountaineer, born in Pangboche near the Everest space, first summited Everest in 1998. Pasang Dawa has made it to the very best of the world’s highest summit twice this spring. Earlier, he summited Everest for the twenty sixth time on May 14.

Meanwhile, Kami Rita Sherpa, 53, who climbed Everest 27 events earlier, setting a world doc, will also be on the brink of climb Everest for the twenty eighth time, based mostly on Thaneshwor Guragain of the Seven Summit Trek.

Kami is prepared for a useful time to scale Everest for the second time this season, to set one different world doc beating his private and Dawa’s knowledge. Earlier, Kami had stood atop Everest on May 17 for the twenty seventh time.

The two veteran Sherpa climbers are competing with each other to set the world doc for ascending the peak.

This spring, 478 climbers have obtained permission to climb Everest.
