Pakistan’s army will practice ‘friend’ Russia, army reaches Rawalpindi

Russia’s army, which claims unbreakable friendship with India, is going to conduct exercises with Pakistan’s army. The Russian Army has reached the headquarters of the Pakistani Army, Rawalpindi to participate in this exercise. The Russian military will remain in Pakistan for about two weeks and test its combat capability. This exercise of Pakistan and Russia is taking place at a time when there is tension between India and China in Ladakh. The Pakistan Army issued a statement saying that the Russian Special Forces personnel had reached Pakistan. These soldiers will participate in the joint exercise ‘DRUZHBA -IV’ to be held between Pakistan and the Russian Army. The Pakistani military said that the purpose of this exercise is to share experiences in action against terrorism. Apart from this, there will be practice of jumping from the air to the ground and how to solve the hostage crisis. Pakistan will not give weapons to Pakistan The Pakistan Army said that this annual exercise between the two countries has been going on since 2016. Earlier this year, Moscow had assured Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who visited Russia this year, that he would not give weapons to Pakistan. Russia had given half a dozen helicopters to Pakistan, which India opposed. After this, Russia stopped the supply of these helicopters. Russia is the largest arms supplier to India. This includes nuclear power-driven submarine. Russia also said that it would help India in its broad-based security interests. This assurance was given by Moscow at a meeting between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Russia’s Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu. Let us tell that Pakistan has been wanting to buy weapons from Russia for a long time to surround India but it has not been successful. However, there have been regular exercises between the armies of the two countries.
